Dr Michael Barrow: Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr Michael Stuart Barrow is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in knee surgery. He practices from Sunninghill Hospital.

Dr Barrow qualified as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2002 at the University of the Witwatersrand. He was awarded the registrar prize in orthopaedics in 2000, 2001 and 2002. After qualifying as an Orthopaedic Surgeon he spent 3 years in the adult arthroplasty unit at the Johannesburg General Hospital, during which time he started the Sports Knee Injury Clinic.

This was followed by a one year fellowship at the London Knee Clinic and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London 2006. Dr Barrow was awarded a Smith and Nephew fellowship and spent time working with Dr Freddie Fu, Dr Charles Brown, and Dr Leo Whiteside in the USA.
